Peplink has published a security advisory for the recently announced PHP2Shell vulnerabilities (CVE-2026-109618 and CVE-2026-109619), which affect Peplink Balance and MAX routers that use the Edge Computing feature. As a precaution, we are reviewing every Peplink device we manage, regardless of edge computing being enabled, confirming its security settings, and applying Peplink's latest security firmware wherever it is needed. Your device will be reviewed between 00:00 UTC and 06:00 UTC on either 24 October 2026 or 25 October 2026.
A brief internet interruption if an update is needed. If your device requires the firmware update, while it restarts internet access and phone service at your location may be unavailable for a short time, typically 5 to 15 minutes.
